Programs

The Master's Programs offered by the AUST are graduate studies in the fields of science and engineering. The courses are open to the best and brightest pan-African students, who have at the minimum an honours Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

The Masters (acknowledged and accredited by the Nigerian University commission) are internationally recognized degrees, allowing the student to pursue a doctorate or to enter the workplace at a senior level.

The different programs offer a variety of specialist courses which are built around two complementary elements:

  • a high-level scientific training, focused on a given discipline, with strong emphasis on modeling, simulation and possibly experimental validation;
  • the capacity to become familiar with technical tools relevant to a given discipline, thereby allowing an application of the acquired knowledge directly in the workplace or in a research environment.

Starting in 2008, the following MSc. programs are offered:

MSc in Pure and Applied Mathematics

MSc in Computer Science

MSc in Theoretical Physics

MSc in Materials Science and Engineering

MSc in Petroleum Engineering
